So the thing that has surprised the most folks so far about Reinvent(ed) is the ticket price. As in, our base ticket is only $150 for the whole shebang, which is a GREAT price for something like this.

Let me tell you who you have to thank for that - because that’d be my sister, Legacy, who managed to find an all-inclusive venue for us for $1500 flat.

For real, zero charges for chairs, A/V, any of it.

Because my sister is a fucking hustler.

She swooped in and saved the day the first time last July when she became Emerson’s nanny. The timing was perfect, because I desperately needed help + she was on the waiting list for electrician apprentice school.

But this funny little thing happened by fall... and she started asking about what exactly I do that makes it so I can work remotely 100% of the time.

No lie, I’ve been CONVINCED Legacy would be a banger of a VA for like a decade, but being an overbearing eldest sister, I wouldn’t give it a rest lol. After appx 1 million years of telling me to fuck off, I basically squealed when she said she wanted to learn more.

I also knew I didn’t have the time to really get her the training she needed, so I turned to Priscilla Green who is one of the best in the game.

Legacy’s been behind the scenes in my business since June, and now, she’s ready to help you with events, research, getting your podcast out, and more.

And now... she’s ready to branch out and start serving more clients.

I’ve learned a thing or two over the past year about what it means to create an unforgettable experience.

Starting at Taylor Fest.

Not to be confused with ANY of the million imitators, Taylor Fest is a Taylor Swift themed party by Swifties for Swifties.

At Taylor Fest, everyone’s the main character.

As in, you get to request your fave songs. You dress up. You get to go onstage. Zero gatekeeping - just vibes and sharing the love with your fellow Swifties.

I saw that kind of energy again when I got to join Mama Gena in Morocco.

More than anything else, I witnessed the power of “Yes and...”

The phrase isn’t original. It’s the base rule of improv among other things, but it’s so easy to forget there is no faster way to get a room full of people to open up and *go there* with you than agreeing with them and adding to the conversation.

That’s how community goes deep fast.

And these are the experiences I’ve got floating around in the back of my head as I put together Reinvent(ed).

How can I give everyone their main character moment?

How can I find ways to let people add? To do it for the plot? To show up as their bravest, most favorite self?

So I have been working inside of some more traditional businesses over the summer - think law firm, tax advisory firm, etc.

I am really enjoying it - mostly, because the amount of impact that somebody like me can have on a company that’s already doing well with but doesn’t really understand how to make the Internet work for them is ABSURD.

It honestly feels like cheating because it’s so easy.

If you know somebody who is interested in growing their company but would rather handoff the digital component, I’d love an introduction.

And in the same vein of doing whatever the fuck I am the most lit up by that I’ve been on the past few months, this event is evolving into something really special.

Because more than anything else, what I think we need right now is connection and JOY.

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you – I’ve started a new company called @pdxfoodtours. The tours will initially explore SE Portland and the Vancouver Waterfront, with plans to expand as we grow.

And because you know I can’t do anything small, I should probably tell you… the local tours are just the beginning. I’m also developing an app designed to help travelers everywhere book the best experiences around the globe.
